Conservation of Material Culture Heritage
The increasing awareness in conservation of culture heritage in Israel and the growing demand for conservators raised the need for a specialized academic program.
The Conservation of Material Culture Heritage program was launched in 2010; it combines theoretical studies, academic research with practical experience.
The program is designed to train its graduates to deal with a wide range of issues in conservation.
The teaching personnel are conservation experts from Israel and abroad, with various expertise, such as Materials & Technologies scientists, Conservation specialists, Applied Research specialists, Historic Buildings Engineers and more.
The program provides its graduates with encompassing knowledge in many aspects of conservation: cultural and humanistic background, archaeological conservation, preservation of historic monuments, conservation of artifacts and artwork.
